Sebaliknya, sebagai orang tua sudah harus mulai banyak membacakan cerita, karena kegiatan membaca sedari kecil mengasah minat baca pada anak sampai anak beranjak besar nanti.
Bahkan, banyak penelitian yang mengakatakan kalau membacakan di depan anak, juga mempunyai manfaat yang bagus untuk bonding (ikatan), antara orang tua dan anak-anaknya.
Jadi, inilah yang dimaksud penulis, bahwa mengenalkan anak dengan dunia literasi bisa dimulai dari usia dini. Karena memang mengacu pada perkembangan otak anak, dianjurkan untuk merangsang dengan membaca buku, agar anak bisa lebih banyak kosakata yang didapat dan ketertarikan mengenali bacaan mulai terasah.
Kegiatan literasi pada anak sudah sangat didukung dari berbagai instansi atau komunitas, terlebih pada kegiatan sekolah anak. Sudah sangat banyak sekolah anak preschool atau usia prasekolah di TK, yang menerapkan one day one book program, satu hari satu buku.
Ini dilakukan untuk menstimulasi kegiatan literasi dan minat baca yang ditanamkan sedari dini.
Bahkan, sudah banyak percetakan buku yang proper lagi untuk memberikan edukasi buku yang sangat baik, yang bisa dikonsumsi untuk pembaca kecil atau anak di usia dini.
